“What does it look like when Jesus is our only answer? The theme that continued to come up while working on these new songs
was that I am not the point – it is not about me, it is about pointing
to Him. God is already at work in our lives, and He has a
plan that He places us in so that others can know Him. We are here to
show the way to God by how we live, how we react to difficult
situations, how we handle trials and troubled relationships. Our hope is
that through these songs, you can see what it looks like when Jesus is
our only source, our only solution and we are pointing to only Jesus.” -Mark Hall
Here are the new releases for today, September 7th.
"Look Up Child" by Lauren Daigle
I don't know about you, but I really enjoyed Lauren Daigles first CD "How Can it Be". So I was pumped when I heard she was working on a new album. Then I heard her new song "You Say" on the radio and was blown away. I remember the second time I heard it, I was waiting in traffic and that song came on the radio, God gave me a word picture to the lyrics of this song. I was watching the people around me, and remember thinking how much I take for granted the hope I have in Christ. So many unsaved and lost people in the world who are listening to the lies that the world says they are. As Christians we can rest in the confidence of who God says we are. Let's reach those around us that don't have the peace of Christ in their lives and tell them how much He loves them....and remind our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who He says they are.
"Wide Open" by Austin French
This song really caught my attention with its fresh beat and Austin's unique voice. "Freedom Hymn" is a song that reminds us that we are free and our chains are broken because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
"God moved me and my family to Del Ray Beach, Florida. I didn’t
know it, but that city is the recovery capital of the world, and that
really changed my perspective on a lot of things. I learned really
quickly that the recovery community is raw and real and you have to be
ok with not being ok. But in that spot…that’s where people met Jesus.
‘Freedom Hymn’ is a song not just for the recovery community of Del Ray
Beach. ‘Freedom Hymn’ is a song for the recovery community worldwide –
the church. We’re all recovering
from something and we all have a song to sing. John 8:36 says that
‘whoever the Son sets free is free indeed.’ That means we have a song to
sing… we have a hymn to sing. We know what the sound of chains breaking
in our life sounds like and we know the one who indeed sets us free. We
have been set free by Jesus!” – Austin French
"Live the Journey" by Building 429
Another amazing song from Building 429. WOW! What a reminder that without Christ we can do NOTHING! He is our strength, our peace, and He closes the mouths of our lions.
“’You Can’ is a really meaningful song to us and we feel like the new
video reflects that perfectly. We all have experienced moments in our
lives where we need God to ‘conquer the giants’ in our lives but with
Him, all things are possible. Often times, the thing that we see as our
greatest weakness is what God uses to show his perfect strength. Our
deficits are just opportunities for the world to see God do the
impossible in the most unlikely of circumstances. Our prayer is that
this song empowers everyone who hears it to keep the faith and know that
God is for them.” - Jason Roy
"Follow" from Mark Schultz released today. Its been about 7 years since his last release, so I'm really excited about this new live album. “Most people thrive in the studio,” says Schultz, “but for me, I love
the live shows so much...I just love the energy of people.”
Today is the big day for the DVD release of "I Can Only Imagine". Just in time for Father's Day. Come on in the store and get a copy for $17.97 or you can get it on bakerbookhouse.com.
Love this song from Ryan Stevenson and thought the video was really well done. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the lyrics very thought provoking. Enjoy.
Thought this video from Andrew Peterson's new CD, "Resurrection Letters Vol. 1", was appropriate as we take time remember the sacrifice Jesus paid for us this Good Friday. He alone conquered sin and death, and He alone can cleanse us from our sins, He alone is worthy!
Life is full of seasons. And every single day of life, we deal
with changes, we deal with tragedy, we’re dealing with stress, we’re
dealing with anxiety, we’re dealing with joy, happiness, and blessings.
But, as believers, we have the amazing confidence that God is sovereign
over all things. Over all change, over all seasons. And the beauty is
that His love and His mercy and His grace, it covers everything. And
that’s what my song witness is truly about. It’s about coming together
as a church, coming together as a community, and acknowledging the
sovereignty of God together. So, can I get a witness? – Jordan Feliz
