This is a song I remember my Mom playing all the time when I was a kid. It's the song that got me interested playing the violin.😀 I understand now what the song is talking about. We aren't much to look at.....who would want us, but then Jesus comes along......cleans us up and starts using us as He intended us to be used. Our live will make a beautiful song, with just a touch of the Masters hand.

Throwback Thursday

This song is in my top 10 favorite songs of all time. One of the first songs I remember hearing as a kid. And now as an adult it has so much more meaning to me. We're living in the adventure God has planned for us. Each of our adventures looks totally different than someone else's, and in the valley of our adventure its hard not to want to put the breaks on and quit. BUT DON'T!!! God's got a plan that we can't see from our viewpoint. But at the end of our journey, we will be able to look back and see how God has all the pieces of our lives put together perfectly. And we will praise Him for our great adventure.

This is one of my favorite songs. What a great reminder that we are incapable apart from Christ. I am so thankful to serve a who a God "who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us," Ephesians 3:20.  He doesn't need us to accomplish His will, yet He chooses to use us for His honor and glory.

I had the opportunity to go see the Newsboys United tour when they came into GR in November. WOW!!!!! Goes down as one of the best concerts I've ever been to. They sang a lot of their new songs, but also sang a bunch of their older songs.....the ones I grew up on. I knew every song they sang.......except one. I had never heard the song "Lost the Plot" from their 1996 album "Take Me to Your Leader". That song has stuck with me for the last 3 months. The message of the song and the video they had going on in the background took my breath away, and I haven't been able to get it off my mind since. That message is as relevant today as it was then. I hope the message of this song speaks as much to you as it has me. The song is old, the video is new......so it still counts as a throwback, right? 😀

Thanks to Elle Roskamp and her friends for sharing their gifts and  helping lead worship here at Baker. So, I don't know what the weather was like where you are.......but here in Michigan it is raining. Not even cold enough to hope for it to turn to snow. Many of my fellow Michiganders would probably like to give me a good talking to for mentioning the word "snow". I LOVE SNOW! I wish we would get some snow and turn all this brown grass to a beautiful white blanket of snow. So, here's the oldie but goodie that is in my head today. Enjoy the snow. 😄

Throwback Thusday

So about a month or so ago we started doing throwback Thursday here at Baker. "What is throwback Thursday?" you might ask......well, its an absolute blast......from the past. Every Thursday we have a list of songs that plays all day throughout the store, dedicated to all the older Christian music. You'll hear everything from The Imperials and Sandi Patty to Audio Adrenaline and The Newsboys. SO, I thought wouldn't it be just as much fun to have the same thing on the blog. I'm going to try to post a new "old" song each Thursday.....hopefully I can find a video to go with it. Well, here it goes....the first one to hit the blog, talk about a blast from the past. 😊 Feel free to let me know what you think, or if you have any song ideas. Hope you enjoy.
