Throwback Thursday
Congrats!
Congratulations to Lauren Daigle on awards and performance at the 2019 Billboard awards last night. She took home awards for Christian Artist of 2019, Christian album of 2019 with "Look Up Child", and Christian song of 2019 with "You Say". She also gave an amazing performance of "You Say" last night. God has gifted her and put her in a place to share that gift with so many. I pray that she will stay strong in her faith, and that through her music, many will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Throwback Thursday
This is a song I remember my Mom playing all the time when I was a kid. It's the song that got me interested playing the violin.😀 I understand now what the song is talking about. We aren't much to look at.....who would want us, but then Jesus comes along......cleans us up and starts using us as He intended us to be used. Our live will make a beautiful song, with just a touch of the Masters hand.

Throwback Thursday
This song is in my top 10 favorite songs of all time. One of the first songs I remember hearing as a kid. And now as an adult it has so much more meaning to me. We're living in the adventure God has planned for us. Each of our adventures looks totally different than someone else's, and in the valley of our adventure its hard not to want to put the breaks on and quit. BUT DON'T!!! God's got a plan that we can't see from our viewpoint. But at the end of our journey, we will be able to look back and see how God has all the pieces of our lives put together perfectly. And we will praise Him for our great adventure.

Indivisible
"
Indivisible is the extraordinary true story of Army Chaplain Darren Turner and his wife Heather, whose lives are fully devoted to serving God, family, and country. But when war etches deep battle scars - both overseas and on the home front - the Turners' rock-solid marriage is shaken to its core.
Carrying burdens the other can't comprehend, they must decide if they're willing to face one more battle: the fight to save their marriage. From the director of The Grace Card and the studio that brought you Fireproof and War Room comes INDIVISIBLE, the story of one marriage - one family - under God." Come on into Baker and grab a copy today.

Kathy Troccoli has one of those very unique voices that blends very well with her style of music. This has been one of those songs that has always touched my heart and I thought it is a very appropriate song for our throwback Thursday song of the week.

If you weren't able to make it out to Baker tonight for live music, you missed out on a beautiful night of praising Jesus Christ. Thanks to Elle Roskamp and her friends for sharing their gifts and helping lead worship here at Baker. I tried to load a video for those that weren't able to come, but I guess the file was to big. But here's a couple of pictures. 😊
New Releases
Today's the day that you can get "Native Tongue" from Switchfoot.
"For their new album Native Tongue, alternative rock band SWITCHFOOT step beyond their trademark epic soundscapes and explore new textures and themes that genuinely reflect this fraught cultural moment. From the hard-hitting anthemic title-track to more reflective songs such as "Prodigal Soul," "Joy Invincible," and “Voices,” (co-written and produced with their friends in One Republic), the band interlace empathy and introspection, urging us to "use our lungs for love and not the shadows.” The record also features a moving collaboration with Kaela Sinclair of French, electronic group M83 on "The Hardest Art." In the midst of an impressive career spanning more than 20 years, Native Tongue is an inspired work of insight and passion from a band that continues to find strength in our differences and hope in what binds us."
